The NCHC offers a range of services that support prevention and health promotion efforts. The staff provides training, technical assistance and support in the development, implementation, evaluation and sustainability of healthy communities initiatives. 

The NCHC's goals are to:

  • Promote collaboration among communities to reduce the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
  • Promote partnership among regional and local public health leaders.
  • Mobilize community for leadership and civic action.
  • Improve access to health care and resources.
  • Provide resources to those in the community working on health promotion and disease prevention.

Whether you work for a neighborhood, task force, school, community coalition, youth serving agency, faith organization or other health-related partnership, the NCHC can help your group set and meet your health promotion goals. Many of the services that link with our 4 goals are free, others are fee for service.  Contact staff for details and to discuss your program or organization and how we can assist you.
