NCHC staff help
funded communities
in Northeast Massachusetts (Lynn, Lowell and Gloucester)
by:
- Providing access to resources related to opioids, prevention
and intervention;
- Providing assistance, capacity building and training in all phases of the strategic prevention framework
process. (Local assigned evaluators will lead much of the
assessment and evaluation work with coordinating assistance from
the NCHC.)
1) Profile community needs, resources, and readiness
to address needs and gaps.
- The communities' assigned
evaluator will coordinate the needs and resources assessment
with assistance from the NCHC.
2) Mobilize and/or build capacity to address needs.
- NCHC staff can help the
community conduct a readiness/capacity assessment to develop and
implement local training and technical assistance plan.
3) Develop a Comprehensive Strategic Plan.
- NCHC staff can provide
guidance in developing the strategic plan.
4) Implement evidence-based prevention programs, policies, and
practices.
- NCHC staff can provide
guidance in choosing and implementing strategies.
5) Monitor, evaluate, sustain, and improve or replace those that
fail.
- Each community will have an assigned local evaluator who will
lead these efforts with collaboration of the community and the
NCHC.
